How the Resource Works
Minnesota opens many adult arrest and booking records to the public. Which office holds the record depends on what you want to know. The Rice County Sheriff's Office runs the county jail. It also posts the current roster. City police departments keep the incident reports. For case status after booking, Minnesota Court Records Online is the public source, and the Minnesota Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for people in state custody. Our job is to sort these routes, explain how they differ, and flag records-request options when a live listing leaves out a field you need.
Resources Available Here
The records pages here center on picking the right source and confirming what it says, not on copying official material.
- The Rice County booking and mugshot lookup path, including the current roster, court search, and public-data request route.
- The Most Wanted page for the county's official warrant-checking path and its safety limits.
- Crime News & Mugshots, which separates local reporting from the official record source.
- City-specific records pages for Faribault Busted Mugshots, Northfield Busted Mugshots, and Lonsdale Busted Mugshots.
Limits of This Service
To be clear, this is not a government agency. It has no tie to the Rice County Sheriff's Office, the Rice County Jail, the Minnesota Department of Corrections, or any other law-enforcement or corrections body. That means we cannot locate, hold, transfer, or release a person in custody. We cannot post bond or set up a jail visit. Sending money, producing an official report, or offering legal advice is off the table too.
- Only the relevant official office can confirm current custody, release, or case information.
- Only the originating agency or court can provide or correct an official record.
- Agency contacts, policies, and record availability can change without notice.
- A booking or charge is an allegation, and court records control the later disposition when public.
Before you act on anything found elsewhere, confirm the official status with a sheriff, jail, police, court, or corrections source.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages belong to outside providers. Those providers decide their own prices, terms, and results. When an outside tool leads to a paid signup, Rice County Busted Mugshots may earn a referral fee that helps keep this resource running. We have no say over a partner's pricing, its search results, or how it handles information you submit.
